Nell Wilson

Mrs. Nell Wilson of Gardiner passed away from natural causes at the age of 90 at her home on May 27, 2014
Picture
She was born to David Eugene and Katherine Elizabeth (Gormley) Fritz on July 29, 1923, in Marion, Ohio.

She married the love of her life, a career Marine, Charles Warren Wilson, at Camp Pendleton, California.

She devoted her life to the Marine Corps, her husband and her family, and was proud to serve them all in her capacity as a homemaker.

Nell was a member of both Gardiner Community Church and the Gardiner Garden Club.

She leaves behind her daughters Gail Wilson Hutt, Nancy Lynn Wilson Bugge and her husband, Jens Samuel Bugge III, and Janice Lee Wilson; sisters Sarah Lou McPherson, Neva Ely and Marion Aldrich; grandchildren Erica Marceau, Edward (Brandi) Marceau, Joseph (Cristen) Marceau, Amanda Bugge, Alaina Bugge, Emily Bugge and Vanessa Hutt; and great- grandchildren Adam Bugge, Kameesha Calvert, Cristien Bugge, John William Hutt II, Josh Marceau, Jorden Marceau, Grant Marceau and Gavin Marceau.

She is also survived by her nephews, David McPherson and Lawrence Burns; nieces Charlen Westerman, Sandy Wilson, Shelly Harmon and Madeline Burns; and many members of her extended family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warren Wilson, who passed on February 21, 2006; her daughter Kathleen Jo Wilson; sister Mary Fitz Booth; and brother Eugene Fritz.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved them without reservation.  She was loved by all who knew her and was the last of the "grand ladies."

Her presence on this Earth will be missed because she will leave behind her an emptiness that cannot be filled, except by memories of her graciousness.
