Carol Brockett
February 10, 1929 - January 26, 2018
Carol Brockett, a longtime resident of Sequim, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones an January 26 , 2018 in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
When Carol was born on February 10, 1929, in Evanston, Illinois, the world became more joyful place. She was
raised in Evanston and went on to graduate from Northwestern University, where she was an active Gamma Phi Beta
and Wildcats fan.
After raising her family, Carol and her husband Bob moved to Sequim, and in love with the area's natural beauty. Carol also established a network of dear friends, joining them in book club, garden club. line dancing, swimming and more. She seemed to always be busy, but in her quieter moments, she loved to write poetry and express her faith in God
through word.
In recent years, Carol and Bob moved to the Mary 's Woods community in Lake Oswego to he even closer to her daughters. Laurel Olson and Lynn Deisher. In addition to them, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Boh Brockett, his daughter Leslie Decker, sons in law Pat Olson and Jim Deisher. grandchildren Bryon, Kim, Marisa, Charlie, Paige and Sarah, and countless friends (you know who you are).
She Was preceded in death by her youngest child, Chucky.
A memorial service was held January 30, 2018 at Mary's Woods, where her life was celebrated
with sweet memories. prayer and, of course, a Neil Diamond song.
